Well boys and girls, this week we had the Oscars. A huge awards show to celebrate what a select few pasty old people who work for the Academy thought were the best movies of the year (I'm still outraged over the absence of Speed Racer). And, considering how important the Oscars are to people with to much time on their hands (looking at you internet), it's no suprise that diggs top story for this week was........................ Heath Ledger Wins Oscar

Now, you may be asking yourself why the person who won best supporting actor is such big news, why not the film that won best picture?

Well, you see the digg community has several things they just can't help but love, and those three things are comic books, villians, and dead people. If you were to submit any article about one of those three things it would make front page, but with all three combined it created a perfect storm. A bermuda triangle of diggs was formed that said that everyone must always digg stories about heath ledger as the Joker (Broke Back Mountain didn't do as well in the news feed).

So, was Heath LEdger winning an oscar news worhty, yes. Was it worthy of having this weeks most diggs, probably not, but come on...he's dead and stuff, cut the guy a break.
